Brendan Emmett

Brendan joins the Ontario Blue Jays in 2018 for his first year on the coaching staff.  From 2003-2006, Brendan played for the OBJs as a 2B/SS.  Brendan also attended Lorne Park Secondary School where he won the 2005 Prentice Cup alongside current 18U Associate Head Coach, Joe Ellison.

For post-secondary, Brendan attended Central Michigan University (D1, Mid-American Conference) where he was part of a Conference Championship team in 2010.   At CMU, Brendan was also highly involved in the academic side of being a student-athlete.  He served as the President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and received the Bill Boyden Leadership Award (given to the student-athlete who best represents athletic performance with strong academic standing along with community/campus involvement).

Brendan currently plays Men’s Senior Baseball for the Mississauga Southwest Twins. The team has reached Baseball Canada’s National Championship 4 times in 7 seasons, twice capturing the bronze medal.  Brendan previously played for the Oshawa Dodgers (2008) and Mississauga Twins (2009-2010) in the IBL.
