Damon Topolie

Catching Coordinator

Damon enters his twelfth season with the Ontario Blue Jays.  Damon began his OBJ coaching career as Catching Coordinator during the 2002 season.  During his tenure with OBJ he has seen 10 of his catchers drafted in the MLB First-Year Players Draft, and over 200 players continue their playing careers in the United States.

In addition to the Ontario Blue Jays, Damon is currently the General Manager and Field Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs who play in the Intercounty Baseball League.  Topolie has played in the IBL since 1995 and continues to play to this day.  During his IBL career, he is a 8-time IBL All-Star and was the 2002 IBL Playoff MVP.

Damon played his collegiate baseball at Tusculum College from 1996 to 1998 where he was named Team MVP and Region Player of the Year.  After completing his education and collegiate playing career, he began his coaching career as a Student Assistant at Tusculum College in 1999.
