Dino Roumel

Head Coach 18U

Dino Roumel is entering his 31st season as a manager and 13th with the Ontario Blue Jays.  He is in his second year as the Head Coach of the Ontario Blue Jays 18U team.  Dino has also managed at the 16U and 17U for OBJ in his tenure.

He started his managerial career with the Guelph leading them to their first IBL Junior title in 37 years.  Dino moved on to manage the Guelph Royals winning the city’s first Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) championship in 34 years.  In Guelph, he had the opportunity to coach and develop a friendship with current President and Director of Player Development, Sean Travers which eventually lead to his hiring with the Ontario Blue Jays.  Dino managed the Toronto Maple Leafs (IBL) in 2007 and guided the team to another IBL Championship.

During that 2007 season, the Leafs broke their single season win record.  Dino’s final IBL Championship came with the Brantford Red Sox in 2010.  Roumel is the only coach in the 100 year history of the Intercounty Baseball League to win a championship with three different teams.  He also holds the IBL record for youngest manager to with an IBL Championship and the only manage to win a Junior IBL Championship and IBL Championship.

Dino looks to bring his championship attitude and background to the Ontario Blue Jays 18U team.
