His son Greg played with the OBJs for 3 years, which included a trip to the Mickey Mantle World Series in McKinney, Texas. Greg went on to play for Connors State College & Rogers State College in Oklahoma, before returning home. Greg & Lori live in the GTA  with their son.
Doug’s daughter Ashley, competed on Canada’s National Power Tumbling Team and is currently the only Canadian Woman to win 2 medals in a World Power Tumbling Championship, which occurred in St. Petersburg, Russia. Ashley & Dekker recently moved into their house in the GTA also.  Doug met Monica when her son Jamie joined the OBJs and played alongside Greg for part of a year before he was drafted by the Expos in 2003. Jamie played in the minor leagues for the Expos, Nationals and Blue Jays and is currently an amateur scout for the Toronto Blue Jays. Jamie & Amanda (and their Springer Spaniel – Sunny) live in upstate NY. Monica’s oldest son Kevin and wife Shannon have 3 children and her daughter Sarah & Eric all live in the GTA.
The 4 grandchildren keep Doug & Monica busy when they’re not OBJing and as empty nesters recently moved to Beamsville.
