Guido Dell’Unto

Guido is in his second-year as a head coach with the OBJs and will manage a 12U team. He returns to assist the OBJ coaching staff after working with Pro Teach baseball as an instructor with some of the original Ontario Blue Jays teams in the mid to late 90s.  During the time in between, he continued to develop his extensive experience as a professional baseball instructor for players and coaches across the province.

Guido began his baseball playing career in Burlington, Ontario.  Throughout high school, he excelled at multiple sports including football and basketball.  His contributions to his high school sport teams earned him a High School Athlete of the Year honor in 1990.

After graduating high school, Guido received a scholarship to play varsity baseball at Spring Arbor College – Michigan, where he played under NAIA Hall of Fame and US National Team Coach Hank Burbridge from 1991-1993.  Some of his team’s accomplishment included: NCCAA National Champions 1992, 1993, NAIA National Championship tournament participant 1991, 1992.  Guido completed his college baseball career in 1995 at Canisius College in Buffalo where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Pre-medical studies.

Guido’s coaching experience includes: coaching teams at many levels and teaching baseball professionally since 1995 as an instructor with Pro Teach Baseball.  During that time, he continues to be extremely fortunate to work with and support many talented players and instructors who have played and coached at levels of: professional, collegiate and elite baseball.  In addition, Guido has co-authored and published a baseball instructional manual for youth players and coaches that continues to serve baseball communities.

Guido currently resides in Burlington with his wife Andrea and son and daughter, Matthew and Ella.
