Another Tiger, Daniel Pinero Selected 265th Overall

Congratulations to Daniel Pinero on being selected in the 9th Round, 265th Overall by the Detroit Tigers during the 2016 MLB First-Year Players Draft.
Pinero is a former Ontario Blue Jays shortstop who graduated the OBJ program in 2013. Pinero, now in his junior year at the University of Virginia  and has been a human highlight reel in his time as a member of the Hoo’s. Pinero was a member of the 2015 Cavalier team who won the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska playing every game at shortstop. Pinero also has been a 3-year starter at UVa, starting every game in the 2014 College World Series where Virginia fell to Vanderbilt University in a decisive final game.
