Castonguay to Georgia Highlands

The Ontario Blue Jays are excited to announce that RHP Nic Castonguay (Mississauga, ON) has committed to further his academic and baseball career at Georgia Highlands College (NJCAA – Atlanta, GA).  Castonguay is currently in his third year with the Ontario Blue Jays and is a graduate of St. Martin’s Catholic Secondary School.  Castonguay made the transition from a position player to pitcher after his 16 and under season, since transitioning he has seen great success on the mound.  Nic will look to play a pivotal role for the OBJ 18U team this summer before moving forward to college.

Castonguay will look to help impact the Chargers pitching rotation as a Freshman next year.  The Chargers are off to a hot start to their season in an extremely tough Georgia Collegiate Athletic Association.

Nic is the first Ontario Blue Jays player to attend Georgia Highlands College.
