Spring Training 2019 marked a first for the Ontario Blue Jays as five former players attended MLB Camp for the first time. 1B/OF Josh Naylor (Padres), OF Jacob Robson (Tigers), RHP Zach Pop (Orioles), RHP Jordan Romano (Rangers, now back with Blue Jays) and LHP Evan Grills (Rockies) all competed for a chance to break camp with the big league club. Unfortunately, all five have been assigned to respective MiLB teams for the beginning of the 2019 season but look to make the jump at some point this year to the big club.
