With training camp completed, the roster finalized and the bus on the road, it’s time for the annual OBJ Collegiate Fall Schedule to begin. This Fall will feature some familiar foes along with some new cities, and universities to continue adding to what is already a one-of-a-kind experience for our graduating players.
The schedule is broken into two trips both over ten days in length. The first trip will see games in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Omaha, and Texas before returning home to the GTA. After a quick week back home to rest and recover the players leave again for leg two of their schedule with the 2018 WWBA National Championship looming closer each day. Trip two begins at Georgetown University in Bethesda, Maryland before making stops in Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia and finishing in Jupiter, Florida for the National Championship.
Each Collegiate Fall Schedule is wrapped up by attending the World Wood Bat Association Perfect Game 18U National Championship held in Jupiter, Florida at Roger Dean Stadium. This tournament is considered the most highly scouted high school baseball event in North America. The tournament is comprised of 45 teams by invitation only and features the best travel programs from across the United States. OBJ has traditionally performed very well at the National Championship, making runs to the quarter and semi-finals in past years.
Once it’s all said and done, the players and coaching staff will have played over 35 games, in 11 different states covering over 6,500 miles.
