Ontario Blue Jays College Wrap Up: Part 2

NCAA D1

Sophomore OF Cooper Davis (Mississauga, ON) has continued his solid season with the Vanderbilt Commodores, batting .272 over their last games with 2 Doubles and 3 RBI’s, with an On-Base Percentage of .444.

Sophomore UTIL Andrew Leggo (Waterloo, ON) has continued to contribute for the Arkansas State Red Wolves, hitting .250 over his last 10 games, to go along with 1 Double, 1 RBI and a .395 On-Base Percentage.

Senior 3B Royce Ando (Mississauga, ON) is doing a little bit of everything as he continues to start for the Michigan State Spartans, with 6 Runs Scored, 2 Doubles, 1 RBI, and an On-Base Percentage of .339.

Sophomore IF Byrce O’Farrell (Burlington, ON) has displayed tremendous hitting for the University of Pittsburgh Panthers, showing off a .325 batting average over the past 12 starts, adding 2 Doubles, 2 Home Runs, 15 RBI’s, and a .368 On-Base Percentage.

Freshman 2B Kyle Kush (Guelph, ON) has proceeded to help the Canisius Golden Gryphs, with a .375 Batting Average and two Runs Scored since the end of March.

Freshman OF Austin Wilkie (Mississauga, ON) has continued to help the Purdue-Fort Wayne, with a .250 average as of late, adding 2 Runs Scored and 2 RBI’s.

NCAA D2

Senior OF Paul Rupnik (Newmarket, ON) has continued to be a factor for the Newman Jets offence adding 16 Hits, 7 Runs and 12 RBIs over the past month including 3 Doubles and a Home Run.  Rupnik is now hitting .325 on the season for the Jets.

NAIA

Senior RHP Bill Brand (Burlington, ON) is still mowing hitters down in Georgia for the Point Skyhawks.  Brand’s thrown 25 innings, allowing only 5 walks while striking out 25 with a 1.80 ERA.

Senior INF Dalton Clarke (Newmarket, ON) is still on fire in Kokomo for the Indiana – Kokomo Cougars.  Clarke is now hitting .319, with 13 Doubles, 3 Triples, 5 Home Runs while adding 23 RBIs.

Senior OF Austen Swift (Toronto, ON) has put together two very impressive seasons at William Jessup, in California. Swift has found a way to raise his batting average to .320 with 6 Doubles, 10 Home Runs while adding 28 RBIs.

NJCAA

Freshman RHP Jacob Kush (Guelph, ON) is continuing to dominate Florida hitters as his Northwest Florida State College Raiders have take home the Panhandle Conference Championship.  Kush has throwing 57 innings, and is sporting an 8-1 record with 75 Strikeouts, and a minuscule 1.74 ERA.

Freshman Infielders Jake Ervin & Tyler Small (Mississauga, ON) are leading the offence charge for Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. Ervin is hitting .358 with 4 Doubles, a Home Run and 24 RBIs.  Meanwhile, Small is hitting .363 with 10 Doubles, 4 Home Runs and 36 RBIs.

Freshman IF Thomas Grilli (Mississauga, ON) continues to help the Panola College offence in his first season.  Grilli is hitting .316 with 9 Doubles, 3 Triples, a Home Run and 26 RBIs.  He has also added 7 Stolen Bases this season for Ponies.

Sophomore C Reece Reading (Listowel, ON) is continuing his hot start as he’s hitting .343 with 10 Doubles, 5 Home Runs and team leading 49 RBIs for Three Rivers College.  Reading has also committed for the 2019-2020 season at the University of Arkansas – Monticello (NCAA D2).

Freshman 3B David Mendhem is leading the way for the Connors State offence in his first year, hitting .408 with 10 Doubles, a Triple, 7 Home Runs and adding 56 RBIs as they continue to push towards Grand Junction and the NJCAA World Series.

Sophomore 1B Malik Williams is back hurting baseballs in Kansas for Johnson County Community College.  Williams is hitting .355 with 12 Doubles, 2 Triples, 9 Home Run and 47 RBIs. Williams has also committed to Lipscomb University (NCAA D1) for the 2019-2020 season.
