Outfield Coordinator/ Assistant Coach 17U Travers


Pat enters his fourteenth season as a coach with the Ontario Blue Jays.  During Pat’s tenure with OBJ he has worked with both the Blue Jay outfielders and hitters while being an assistant coach at the 16 & Under level.  During his time with OBJ 16U Travers he has been instrumental in their continued success on-field.  Pat was apart of the 2013 Mickey Mantle World Series Championship team as well as the 2016 CABA National Championship team.  Pat has been responsible for the development and success of countless OBJ outfielders and hitters who have moved onto both the college and professional ranks.

Prior to the Ontario Blue Jays, Pat began his baseball coaching career in 1998 with the Canadian Thunderbirds Baseball Club.  With the Thunderbirds, Pat was responsible for outfielders, hitters and served as an assistant coach at both the 17U and 18U level.

Away from the field, Pat is a retired elementary school teacher.  Pat began his teaching career in 1978 and retired in 2008.  During Pat’s 30-year career in the classroom, he taught grades 7, and 8 including special needs classes in the Toronto Catholic District School Board.  While teaching he coached several school sport teams including Cross Country, Track & Field, Basketball, Volleyball and Baseball.  In addition to his in school sport commitments, Pat coached a “AAA” basketball team that finish first place in Ontario (2001) and second place in Ontario (2002).
