Darren joined the Ontario Blue Jays Coaching Staff in 2022, shortly after his Professional career came to an end. He is a homegrown Ontario Blue Jay, having played for OBJ from 2011-2015 where he was a part of one of the winningest teams in OBJ History, including the Mickey Mantle World Series Championship in 2013.

Darren brings advanced knowledge in both the Pitching and Catching department. In 2014 & 2015 he was a member of the Canadian Junior National Team as a Catcher, helping Team Canada qualify for a spot in the 2015 U-18 World Cup.

After graduating the program and being drafted by the Cincinnati Reds as a Pitcher in 2015, Darren went on to play in the Reds Minor League system for 3 years. Posting a career 4.22 ERA.  

Darren has since decided to return to the Ontario Blue Jays and help grow the future!
