Morro Joins OBJ Coaching Staff Full-Time

The Ontario Blue Jays are pleased to announce the addition of Conner Morro to the OBJ Coaching Staff in a full-time capacity as Head Strength & Conditioning Coach and Infield Coordinator.

Morro comes from a long and successful baseball background including his time with the Bantam National Champion Brampton Royals, before moving forward to the Ontario Blue Jays in 2012.  During his OBJ career he was apart of two major OBJ Championships, the 2013 AABC Mickey Mantle World Series in McKinney, Texas and the 2015 Perfect Game BCS Championship in Fort Myers, Florida - both event championships were a first for any Canadian team.  Morro graduated OBJ in 2015 after accepting a scholarship at Chattanooga State Community College (NJCAA D1).  Morro was a two-year starter at Chattanooga State under Head Coach Greg Dennis, where he was a 2nd Team All-Conference Shortstop as a Sophomore.  After graduating CSCC, Conner transferred to Canisius College (NCAA D1) in Buffalo, NY to complete his education.  Again, Morro was a two-year starter at shortstop for the Golden Griffs leading them to the Minnesota NCAA Regional in 2018 and was named 2nd Team All-Conference Shortstop in 2019.  Conner has spent most of his collegiate summers apart of the Barrie Baycats (IBL) who have won 6 straight IBL Championships and will return to the Baycats this Summer.

Conner graduated from Canisius College in 2019 with a Bachelors of Science in Health & Wellness.  In Fall of 2019 he completed an internship at IMPACT Performance at the Harbour Center in Buffalo, NY.  During his time there he worked with several of Buffalo's elite up and coming hockey and professional lacrosse players from the Buffalo Junior Sabres and Buffalo Bandits (NLL).  Conner will transition back to his passion which is training elite level baseball players in his new role as Head Strength & Conditioning Coach with the Ontario Blue Jays.

Morro looks to make a big impact both in the weight room and on the infield in his first year as a full-time coach.  His expertise and coaching ability has already paid dividends as he continues his role as an Assistant Coach with the OBJ Collegiate Fall Team.  Welcome back Conner!
